At the press conference introducing the event, held on the afternoon of October 10th at the Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel, designers and brands made their debut to guests with unique, refined, and colorful designs showcased by top models. In addition, the Hanoi Fashion Promotion Center has assisted the organizers in inviting consultants and designers to participate in the program.

With over 20 meticulously planned and elaborate shows, Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter will showcase the most unique and impressive collections, promising to create a new trend for the Vietnamese fashion market in the final months of autumn and winter 2016. Following two model casting sessions on September 29th at the Grand Palace Convention and Wedding Center and on October 7th at The Garden Shopping Mall in Hanoi, the organizers of Vietnam International Fashion Week have selected the most outstanding models to advance to the next rounds of direct interviews with designers and brands.
The Chairwoman of Vietnam International Fashion Week, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Trang, shared: "This time, we hope to bring more renowned Vietnamese designers and fashion brands closer to domestic audiences, especially those in Hanoi, and internationally. Furthermore, with the participation of famous international designers, we hope that this event will also contribute to bringing the latest fashion trends from around the world closer to Vietnamese audiences.”

Ngoc Chau, the winner of Vietnam's Next Top Model season 7, has officially opened the Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2016.
Notably, Vietnam's leading Haute Couture designer, Nguyen Cong Tri, will once again open the Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter with a brand new collection. All guests and international designers will also be transported in luxurious and prestigious Lexus vehicles.

The press conference also announced the winner of the Vietnam Emerging Designer competition in collaboration with PNJ, held within the framework of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2016 and in partnership with the high-end jewelry and diamond brand PNJ: designer Ngoc Le. The young designer will also participate in Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn/Winter with a collection that promises to be a refreshing change for fashion enthusiasts in the capital.
As part of the event, the organizing unit – Multimedia JSC – will also have an exhibition area at Trang Tien Plaza Shopping Center showcasing designs from the designers and brands featured in the show. This will allow fashion enthusiasts to observe the designs up close and in detail, and potentially purchase their favorite products immediately.

During this Fashion Week, Canifa launched a collaborative collection with designer Le Ha. Responding to press inquiries about whether Canifa's products would be displayed in their stores after Fashion Week ended, a representative of the fashion brand stated: "The outfits on the runway are relatively difficult to mass-produce. Some designs from the collection will be available in our flagship stores. However, Canifa will strive to offer products at a committed 'affordable' price."
