The 2019 French Wine Tasting Program was organized by the French Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (BUSINESS FRANCE) in Vietnam. At the event held at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel, over 200 wine professionals in Vietnam had the opportunity to taste fine wines from some of France's most renowned wine-producing regions, including Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Champagne, Languedoc-Roussillon, the Rhône Valley, Southwestern France, and Alsace. This served as a basis for establishing cooperative and trade relationships between Vietnam and France.

At the 2019 French Wine Tasting Program, Mr. Vincent Floreani, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that Vietnam is currently one of the most dynamic wine markets in Asia. Thanks to its long-standing reputation for quality, France remains the leading wine exporter to Vietnam.

In 2018, exports of French wines and spirits to the Vietnamese market increased by 15.6% compared to 2017. The annual high-quality wine tasting program has become a highlight for French wines in Vietnam, and this year marks the 10th edition of this important cultural event.
