At about 10:00 a.m. on November 11, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at Km41+300(P) National Highway 27C, passing through Son Thai Commune (Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province) on Khanh Le Pass, a large landslide occurred. According to Mr. Van Ngoc Huong - Chairman of Khanh Vinh District People's Committee, it is estimated that about 9,000 m3Rocks and soil fell from the mountain, blocking the entire road, causing landslides and culverts... Bad weather in recent times has also caused the national highway to become muddy, with potholes mixed with cracks, fractures, and subsidence for more than 3,000 m.2The huge amount of rock and soil completely blocked the road connecting Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa) with Da Lat city (Lam Dong), causing serious traffic impacts.

In addition, the landslide area also has many points where water from upstream flows down, making it difficult for people to travel. Authorities warn people not to travel through this area to ensure traffic safety. Currently, road maintenance forces are present to organize cleaning and clear the road.

The leader of the Department of Transport of Khanh Hoa province said that heavy rain also caused some other roads in the province to be partially flooded, and the whole province of Khanh Hoa has 6 points at risk of landslides. After the incident occurred, the maintenance unit quickly mobilized machinery to clear rocks and soil, ensuring smooth traffic. The authorities also have plans ready to evacuate people when necessary.
