Author Haruki Murakami and fashion brand UNIQLO have teamed up to launch a line of T-shirts inspired by his novels “Norwegian Wood,” “1Q84,” and his radio show. It’s a collaboration that brings together two iconic names: one of Japan’s most famous authors and the country’s largest apparel company.

These unique T-shirt designs were illustrated by artist Masaru Fujimoto, who has frequently collaborated with Murakami. The collection showcases the world of famous novels, the writer's love of music and, of course, cats.

There are a total of eight T-shirts in this collection. The "Norwegian Wood" T-shirt is arguably the simplest, featuring only the author's name and the title of the book on the front, while the others are more elaborately designed.

The navy blue shirt inspired by "Kafka on the Shore" features a bird and a quote from the novel in Japanese, and you can only read the text on the shirt "1Q84" when standing in front of a mirror.

There are also two designs inspired by the author's radio show "Murakami Radio." The white shirt features an illustration of a cat sitting at a desk to promote the author's live radio show on Tokyo FM, while the black T-shirt features a vinyl record and a quote on the back.

This collection will be available on March 15, 2021. All T-shirts will be sold for 1,500 yen (over 300,000 VND) starting March 15. In addition, pins and stickers are also introduced in this collection. You can see the full collection atThis.
