Opening Hoan Kiem store, UNIQLO launches UTme! collection and contributes revenue to HOPE Fund to build schools

On November 10, UNIQLO, the global fashion retail brand from Japan, officially opened the UNIQLO Hoan Kiem store (No. 1 Ba Trieu, Hoan Kiem District), marking the 10th UNIQLO store in Hanoi, and the 22nd UNIQLO store in Vietnam, operating in parallel with the online store UNIQLO.com.

Also on this occasion, UNIQLO representative affirmed that it will further improve the quality of products and services; commit to supporting and contributing to the long-term economic and social development of Vietnam. One of those commitments is to create long-term values ​​for the community through the Power of Clothing.

UTme! designs celebrate Vietnamese and Japanese culture

In particular, at the Hoan Kiem store opening event, UNIQLO introduced for the first time the UTme! Collection (BST) consisting of 5 winning designs from the UTme! T-shirt design contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan and is expected to expand to three major stores across the country, including UNIQLO Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach, UNIQLO Saigon Centre, UNIQLO Dong Khoi. All revenue from the collection (up to the end of December 2023) will be donated to the Hope Foundation to help build a new school for students in Mu Cang Chai district, helping them have better learning conditions.

Officially introduced in Vietnam since 2021, with the support of Hope Foundation (HOPE) and other partners, the RE.UNIQLO project collects UNIQLO products that customers no longer need to donate to children and families in difficult circumstances. By May 2023, the RE.UNIQLO project had donated 15,000 products collected from this program to children and families in poor marginal areas in Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Son La and Binh Phuoc provinces.

In early 2023, UNIQLO continued to launch the project "Bringing Clean Drinking Water to the Mekong Delta", in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Supporting Poor Patients, to support the provision of clean drinking water to people affected by drought and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta region. In the first phase of the project, since January 2023, 10 primary schools and kindergartens in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province have been equipped with direct drinking water filtration systems. This clean drinking water supply system contributes to protecting the health of nearly 3,000 students and teachers who are seriously affected in heavily saline areas. Thanks to that, schools will no longer have to buy clean water for daily use.
