As an international student in China, Pham Long spent a lot of time wandering around and exploring the architecture of the place: “I like taking pictures of Chinese parks because I major in design. I also want to go here and there to see how China designs and builds. In addition, in Beijing there are many large, beautifully designed parks that are completely free, with no entrance fees.”

One of the most beautiful gardens in China and preserved as a treasure of the dynasties is Yuanmingyuan.
The Yuanmingyuan (also known as the Old Summer Palace) with its many beautiful lakes is located in the western suburbs of Beijing. Built during the Ming Dynasty in 1417, the garden is rectangular in shape and covers an area of about 12,000. It was a private retreat for the imperial family and is typical of Chinese imperial garden design. China's first classical garden was listed on the World Heritage List on December 2, 1998.
There are three gardens here: Yuanmingyuan, Qichunyuan, and Wanchunyuan. To learn about the reconstruction of the original Imperial Garden, take a close look at the Yuanmingyuan Exhibition Hall, which features models of the gardens in their heyday. You can also visit the European-style stone palace.

Lost in the fairyland of Canh Son artificial park
Jingshan is actually a man-made hill, located in Xicheng District, directly north of the Forbidden City of Beijing. At the same time, this hill is also located in the most central location of Beijing. When it was born, Jingshan was a park for the royal aristocracy, and later it was expanded to many people to visit, becoming a large artificial park of Beijing city.
Strolling around Canh Son Park, visitors will encounter many eye-catching natural scenes. Rows of colorful flowers blooming in the early morning sun, gardens that are always cared for and meticulously trimmed, or fruit trees that are always laden with seasonal fruits. Pham Long suggests that you see tulips at Canh Son Park to experience being lost in a fairyland.

Tips for conquering parks in Beijing
Pham Long confided: “Beijing in general and Beijing parks in particular have different beauty in each season. In my opinion, the most pleasant weather and beautiful scenery should be in spring to see peach blossoms (March-April) and in autumn to see yellow leaves (late October-November).”
Besides, according to Pham Long, taking photos of parks in Beijing does not require much attention. “The parks here are very large, so you have to walk a lot, 5-7 km is normal. Because the area is large, to find check-in locations that are exactly like the photos on the internet, people need to check the exact location to save time,” Pham Long advised.
