The World Travel Awards organization has officially announced Vietnam as the World's Leading Heritage Destination for 2024, at an awards ceremony in Madeira, Portugal. This is the fifth time Vietnam has been honored in this category, following its achievements in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023. To maintain its position for five consecutive years, Vietnam had to overcome many strong competitors such as Armenia, Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
The title of World's Leading Heritage Destination once again affirms the potential and top-tier appeal of its unique heritage values, with a system of 9 natural and cultural world heritage sites, 15 intangible cultural heritage sites, and 10 documentary heritage sites recognized by UNESCO.
Vietnam has been honored by the World Travel Awards as the "World's Leading Heritage Destination 2024".

Ha Nam province won the “Special Achievement Award 2024”. Tam Dao received the title of “World's Leading Tourist Town 2024”, along with many other top-tier global awards for outstanding Vietnamese aviation, travel, and tourism businesses.
