Vietnamese tourism businesses hope to reopen tours to Japan.

From April 28th to May 8th, 2020, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in Vietnam conducted an online survey on the resumption of tourism products and flights to Japan after the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. Participants included travel companies and airlines in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and other provinces.

The survey results show that the desire of travel companies and airlines to resume selling tourism products and flights to Japan has not diminished. Specifically, 98.2% of respondents said they "want to resume selling" Japanese tourism products and flights to Japan after the Covid-19 pandemic ends, and over 80% expect the resumption of Japanese tourism products to be during the autumn foliage season of 2020, or at the latest, spring 2021. Companies expect to sell more "tours to new destinations" than "Golden Route tours".

The "Golden Route" is a famous and popular tourist route for exploring Japan, encompassing five beloved destinations: Tokyo, Hakone, Mount Fuji, Nagoya, and Osaka. The journey takes visitors from a modern yet ancient Tokyo, with its ancient Asakusa Temple, the Imperial Palace, and the majestic Mount Fuji, to the ancient capital of Kyoto, embodying a bygone era of Japan, connecting Osaka with its tranquil temples and shrines, and the magnificent sea-crossing structures of Kobe. This is one of the most attractive Japan tours for both Vietnamese and international tourists in recent years.
