Vietnam has been recognized as the best golf destination in the world and Asia.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) announced on October 29th that at the 8th World Golf Awards (WGA) ceremony held at Park Hyatt Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam was recognized as the Best Golf Destination in the World and Asia for 2021. This is the most prestigious award in the field of golf worldwide, part of the World Travel Awards system.

Following 2019, 2021 marked the second year Vietnam received the award for Best Golf Destination in the World, as well as the fifth consecutive year it was recognized as the Best Golf Destination in Asia (2017-2021) by the World Golf Awards.

Surpassing other strong competitors such as the US, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, Vietnam's golf destinations, with their luxurious, world-class infrastructure and services, have attracted and received high praise from tourists who come to combine golf with relaxation.

According to the organizers, despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic to the tourism industry in general and golf in particular, the 8th World Golf Awards received a record number of votes from golfers worldwide compared to previous years. This further confirms the strong public demand for travel, golf, and leisure.

Previously, within the framework of the World Travel Awards, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism was awarded the title of Asia's Leading Tourism Management Agency in 2021. In addition, Vietnam's tourism sector received many other prestigious awards such as Asia's Leading Destination and Asia's Leading Sustainable Destination. Hoi An Ancient Town was awarded the title of Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination; Cuc Phuong National Park was voted Asia's Leading National Park; and Ha Long Bay was recognized as Asia's Leading Tourist Scenic Spot.
