The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) announced on October 29 that at the 8th World Golf Awards (World Golf Award - WGA) held at Park Hyatt Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam was recognized as the Best Golf Destination in the World and Asia in 2021. This is the most prestigious award in the world's golf industry, part of the World Travel Awards system.
After 2019, 2021 is the second year Vietnam has received the World's Best Golf Destination award, as well as the 5th consecutive year being recognized as Asia's Best Golf Destination (2017-2021) by the World Golf Awards.

Surpassing other strong competitors such as the US, New Zealand, China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, golf destinations in Vietnam with luxurious, classy, international standard service infrastructure have attracted and received high appreciation from tourists when coming to play golf and relax.
According to the Organizing Committee, despite the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the tourism industry in general and golf in particular, the 8th World Golf Awards still received a record number of votes compared to previous years from golfers around the world. This further confirms that the public's demand for travel, golf and relaxation is currently very strong.
Vietnam is Asia's top golf destination for 5 consecutive years
Previously, within the framework of the World Travel Awards, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism won the title of Asia's Leading Tourism Management Agency in 2021. Along with that, Vietnam tourism also received many other prestigious awards such as Asia's Leading Destination, Asia's Leading Sustainable Destination. Hoi An Ancient Town won the title of Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination; Cuc Phuong was voted Asia's Leading National Park; Ha Long Bay was listed as Asia's Leading Tourist Attractions.
