“Vietnam International Aviation Technology Equipment Exhibition 2019” will take place from November 26 to 28, 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition is expected to have 400 booths, displaying on an area of 10,000 m2, attracting about 20,000 visitors. This is also the first international air show held in Vietnam on a grand scale.
This important event of the aviation industry will attract many manufacturers, operators, businesses, domestic and international airline organizations to participate with activities introducing the latest technology and equipment in the aviation field. The exhibition will also be a place for airlines to have the opportunity to meet directly, exchange about product technology, promote trade, contributing to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese aviation industry in the trend of integration with world airlines.

Ms. Luong Thi Xuan, Director of GK Wintron Company (organizing unit) said: "There are about 15,000 manufacturing and service enterprises in the aviation industry in the world and Vietnam has relationships with 15% of them. The remaining 85% still do not know, have not introduced products and solutions to us. Therefore, this is a bridge for them to learn about the Vietnamese market". According to Ms. Xuan, the Organizing Committee will invite large enterprises in the aviation industry such as Boeing and Airbus to attend. At the press conference, Mr. Uong Viet Dung, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Transport, expressed hope that Vietnamese industrial manufacturing enterprises will have the opportunity to access, research and develop products to serve this new market.
At the press conference announcing VIAE 2019, a number of manufacturing enterprises in the industry from Indonesia, Italy, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Romania... also sent representatives to show their goodwill to attend. Indonesia alone affirmed that it will bring products of its aviation industry to the exhibition.
"We want to bring Indonesian-made aircraft to the exhibition and are discussing procedures and permits. Whether or not we can bring the aircraft to the exhibition depends on the permission from Vietnam because we are very willing," said Mr. Hanif Salin - Consul General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, Vietnam has about 20 airports that need to be expanded and upgraded, so the need for development in the aviation sector is very large. Meanwhile, the world has about more than 15,000 manufacturers of equipment and fields related to aviation and aircraft. The Vietnamese aviation industry has relationships with about 15% of foreign manufacturing enterprises to serve the aviation industry. For that reason, the VIAE 2019 exhibition is expected to be successful and bring a breakthrough to the Vietnamese aviation industry.
