Hanoi:"People might wonder why I chose Hanoi, my birthplace. But after traveling to many places and experiencing life away from Hanoi for a few months, I realized I always miss it and can't bear to leave it. The food, the culture, and the weather in Hanoi make me crave and miss it, especially when I work in the South and the Mekong Delta for two months," Dinh Minh shared.

Binh Thuan:Dinh Minh recommends that summer is a must-visit for Binh Thuan, especially destinations like Bau Trang, Mui Ne, and Phu Quy with their blue seas and white sands. Or Phu Quy – an incredibly beautiful and still unspoiled island.

Hue:"I've been to Hue four times. I love listening to the Hue accent, I love the diverse cuisine here, especially Hue sweet soups. And I also love the gentle atmosphere of this city," Dinh Minh said.

Travel experiences on all trips
Regarding transportation:Dinh Minh always prefers using a motorbike for transportation at his destination to visit more places and have more control. For destinations in the North, he will take an overnight sleeper bus from Hanoi and arrive at his destination the next morning. The rented motorbike will be delivered to his location, and he especially chooses a geared motorbike for traveling on mountain roads.
Itinerary and accommodation:Dinh Minh compiled destination information from reviews by previous travelers on social media. Then, he arranged an itinerary with destinations that suited the purpose of the trip.

Regarding accommodation, Dinh Minh usually finds the best rooms at affordable prices through booking apps like Traveloka, Agoda, and Airbnb. He also searches on Google Maps by looking at keywords like "homestay," "guesthouse," and the name of the destination. He then chooses a well-rated, conveniently located place to stay, contacts the reception directly, and negotiates the price.
Cuisine:This is the second priority after photography when Dinh Minh travels: exploring the local cuisine. His experience is that to eat many delicious dishes and avoid waste, you should go in a group of 2-4 people. You should only order one dish at a time, and order more later if you find something delicious.

Sharing about the difficulties Đình Minh encountered during his trips, he recounted: “My most memorable experience was getting seasick while traveling to Phú Quý Island. I went to the island on a day when the sea was rough and the waves were high, so that was the first time I ever got seasick. Two hours on the boat felt incredibly long; I didn't dare open my eyes or stand up to move. After the boat docked, I went back to my homestay and slept there all afternoon.”
Notes for trips
You should save your must-visit destinations to a list on Google Maps by province to plan your itinerary smoothly and avoid missing anything. If you enjoy photography, you can check out reviews from famous travel bloggers who share beautiful photos and even the locations and angles before moving on to the next destination.
"For me, the key to a successful trip is having the right companions. I'm fortunate that my past trips have all been with compatible travel companions who share the same interests," Dinh Minh added.
