Vietjet launches its first direct flight to Japan.

Vietjet Airlines has officially launched its first direct flight from Hanoi to Osaka, Japan. This flight route will contribute to promoting tourism, trade, and integration between the two countries and within the region.

Jeremy Goldstrich, Vice President and CEO of Kansai Airport, said: “As the first airport that Vietjet Airlines connects to with direct flights from Hanoi to Japan, we look forward to a bright future for this collaboration and partnership. Following the direct flight from Hanoi to Osaka, the flight route from Ho Chi Minh City to Osaka will be launched.”

Hanoi is an exciting destination and a gateway connecting tourists to many famous destinations in Northern Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Trang An scenic area (Ninh Binh), Sapa town, etc. The launch of direct flights from Hanoi to Osaka by Vietjet will give tourists from both countries more travel options, opening up many opportunities for development in tourism, trade, and the economy.

The Hanoi - Osaka route operates daily round-trip flights, with each leg lasting over four hours, using the new and modern A321neo aircraft. The flight departs from Hanoi at 01:40 and arrives in Osaka at 07:50. The return flight is scheduled to depart from Osaka at 09:20 and arrive in Hanoi at 13:05. All flight schedules are in local time.

The direct flight route connecting Hanoi with Osaka, Japan, will contribute to promoting tourism, trade, and integration between the two countries.

With the launch of the Hanoi - Osaka route, Vietjet increases its total number of international routes to 64, serving 11 countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Cambodia. The airline will continue to launch two more new routes to Japan: Ho Chi Minh City - Osaka (Kansai Airport) on December 14, 2018, and Hanoi - Tokyo (Narita Airport) on January 11, 2019.

The airline is planning to develop a comprehensive flight network across the Asia-Pacific region, is exploring further expansion of routes in the region, and is finalizing contracts for the purchase of new, modern aircraft from reputable global aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus and CFM.
