Accordingly, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (UBCKNN) requested Vietjet to issue shares according to the plan approved in the 2018 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Resolution No. 02-18/VJC-ĐHCĐ-NQ dated April 26, 2018, which approved the dividend distribution plan for 2017 at a rate of 60%, including 40% in cash and 20% in shares.

The Board of Directors of Vietjet has approved July 2nd, 2018 as the record date for the stock dividend payment, corresponding to June 29th, 2018 as the ex-dividend date. Each shareholder owning 10 shares will receive 2 new shares. After the dividend payment, Vietjet's charter capital will increase from VND 4,513 billion to over VND 5,416 billion.
Previously, the company paid out 40% of its 2017 dividends in cash.
Over the years, Vietjet has consistently paid dividends to shareholders at a high rate, sometimes exceeding 100%. In 2018, the company approved a plan to pay a dividend of 50%.
At the close of trading on May 18th, VJC shares were priced at 190,000 VND per share.
