Vietnam's first international tourism office opened in the UK

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has chosen London as the location for its first overseas representative office, aiming to promote tourism closer to British tourists. The opening ceremony took place on the evening of February 18 with nearly 250 delegates from the two countries.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Quang Tung; Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Tran Ngoc An; Ms. Kate White, representative of the UK Foreign Office and Mr. Tran Trong Kien, Chairman of the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB). In addition, the ceremony also welcomed nearly 200 guests from travel companies in the UK, representatives of the UK Foreign Office, the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, Vietnam Airlines...

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quang Tung highlighted the achievements of Vietnam's tourism in recent years, and affirmed that the UK is a strategic partner and one of the largest European markets sending visitors to Vietnam. The opening of a tourism promotion office in London will create a bridge for tourism development between the two countries as well as contribute to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.

Mr. Tran Trong Kien, Chairman of TAB, said that the opening of The Visit Vietnam tourism office in the UK aims to coordinate with the partner company The PC Agency (UK) to promote the image of Vietnam tourism, introduce and update new tourism products of Vietnam to travel companies in the UK; thereby promoting the increase in the number of tourists from the UK and from key European countries to Vietnam in the coming time.
