The water festival in Thailand, which starts on April 12th and lasts until April 15th, attracts a large number of locals and tourists.

These days, people in Thailand are joyfully celebrating the Buddhist New Year with lively water-throwing displays.

They even jumped into the water barrel to shoot each other.

The festive atmosphere of Songkran begins to liven up from April 12th. During this time, people temporarily forget their daily worries and hardships to take to the streets and celebrate the new year.

In Bangkok, the Khaosan area (Western Quarter) is the most bustling, with tens of thousands of people flocking there. People use water guns, buckets, and even hoses to spray each other, believing it will wash away the misfortunes of the old year and welcome the new year with overflowing happiness.

On many streets in both Bangkok and Pattaya, large groups of young people and foreign tourists prepare large buckets of water and water guns or hoses, ready to spray passersby with the hope of wishing them good luck.

The festival officially began on the afternoon of April 13th and lasted until April 16th. Tens of thousands of people flocked to Khaosan Road to celebrate the New Year and splash water on each other for good luck.
