10 years of promoting Vietnam's image through the Heritage Photography Awards - Heritage Journey

On September 12, 2024, at the Exhibition Center 93 Dinh Tien Hoang (Hanoi), the award ceremony and opening of the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2024 exhibition took place, marking the 10th anniversary of the award organized by Heritage magazine.

At the event, the charity auction program "Photos of love" to raise funds to support the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters was also announced by the Organizing Committee.

2024 is the 10th year that Heritage magazine of Vietnam Airlines has organized the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey. After 10 years of persistent organization, the Award is considered one of the awards with high professional quality, with the Jury being representatives of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the participation of many authors. The Award is also a convenient foreign information channel to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam, while contributing to improving professional qualifications in the field of photojournalism.

The Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2024 received the participation of 156 authors from 63 provinces and cities nationwide, with 411 photo sets submitted.

After 4 months of launching, the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2024 has received the participation of 156 authors from 63 provinces and cities nationwide, with 411 photo sets, more than double the number of the previous year.

To mark the 10-year journey of the Heritage Photography Awards Exhibition - Heritage Journey 2024 introduces 10 sets of works and award-winning works. Some high-prize winning works also receive Gold - Silver - Bronze medals sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists for the Heritage Photography Awards according to the 2024 Award Rules. During the judging process, because the Lifestyle - Human Portrait - Vietnam Airlines Moments category did not have a Special Prize or Cover Prize, the Jury decided to replace the Cover Prize of the Special Shooting Technique category with a Bronze medal.

The exhibition also displays 30 works created during two photo tours - field composition programs within the framework of the photo contest - co-organized by Heritage Magazine, Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Land Rover Vietnam.

On the occasion of the exhibition, Heritage magazine also officially announced the charity auction program “Photos of Love”, organizing the auction of selected photos from the compositions in the Photo Tours of the Photo Awards. The specific program will be announced on the magazine's media channels.

Mr. Le Hoang Dung - Editor-in-Chief of Heritage Magazine - Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Photo Contest shared at the event: “In the past week, the devastation caused by Typhoon Yagi and the floods have caused severe damage to the lives and properties of people in all the Northern provinces. Witnessing the extremely tragic and painful events, we really want to do something, even a small part, to share the difficulties of the people in the localities affected by natural disasters. Therefore, at this exhibition, Heritage Magazine officially announced the charity auction program "Photos of Love" to contribute funds to help people in the Northern provinces recover from the consequences of natural disasters. To start the program, the Magazine will contribute the Photo tour photos that are being displayed here and select more from the Photo Tours that have been organized."
