The highlight of phase two is the renovation of the suite where Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko stayed during their visit to the Imperial City of Hue in 2017.
The newly refurbished guest rooms feature elegant and simple designs, brighter colour schemes and more modern furnishings.
During the renovation, Le Parfum restaurant was temporarily moved to the 3rd floor of the west building for three months, now reopened at its original location ready to serve diners with a new menu, full of local culinary flavors.
The entire building's air conditioning system has also been upgraded with a completely new and advanced heating and cooling system, reducing energy consumption by approximately 15%.
The entire bathroom has been completely renovated and upgraded.
Meeting facilities at Azerai La Residence Hue have also been upgraded with modern audio-visual equipment. The hotel now has three meeting rooms with different capacities depending on the needs of use: a large meeting room with a capacity of 70-80 people, a medium meeting room with a capacity of 15-20 people and a small meeting room with a capacity of 10 people. All meeting rooms have views of the hotel's garden and swimming pool.
The completion of phase two also closed a year with many remarkable achievements for the 122-room hotel located on the poetic Perfume River. In 2019, Azerai La Residence Hue won many major awards such as: Top 100 most wonderful destinations in the world in 2019 (World's 100 Greatest Places 2019) by TIME, and Top 10 Hotels in Asia (Top 10 hotels in Asia) voted by readers of famous travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler last October.

Following two comprehensive hotel refurbishments in February and November 2019, the hotel is also slated to upgrade its main art-deco building, built in 1930 and formerly part of the French Governor's residence, in early 2020.
