According to Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Director of the Hue Imperial City Relics Conservation Center, the adjustment of entrance fees aims to increase revenue from ticket sales for Hue relics by 5-10% during the 2020-2022 period. Revenue from ticket sales will reduce the burden of investment from the central government budget, increase local government investment for conservation, restoration, and enhancement, return the original value of architectural works, expand service scale, and create new attractions.

It is expected that after adjusting the ticket prices, this activity will contribute to increasing the budget of Thua Thien Hue province by 60-70 billion VND/year. This price increase is divided among 4 tourist areas, including:
- Group 1: Hue Imperial Palace complex (Dai Noi) increased from 150,000 VND to 200,000 VND;
- Group 2: the complex of tombs of Emperors Tu Duc, Khai Dinh, and Minh Mang increased from 100,000 VND to 150,000 VND;
- Group 3: the complex of tombs of Emperors Gia Long, Thieu Tri, and Dong Khanh increased from 40,000 VND to 50,000 VND;
- Group 4: Hon Chen Temple, An Dinh Palace, Nam Giao Altar increased from 20,000 VND to 30,000 VND.
The combined ticket price for all four attractions has been reduced from 650,000 VND to 530,000 VND.
In addition, there are several policies for the elderly, children, people with disabilities, students, people from Hue, and other priority groups as stipulated.
