Representatives from the People's Committee of Thanh Cong commune, Nguyen Binh district, confirmed the information and stated that ice formation had recently occurred on the summit of Phia Oac mountain.
"The phenomenon of ice formation on the summit of Phia Oac has just appeared, however, the ice is not yet widespread," said a representative of the Thanh Cong Commune People's Committee.

The Phia Oắc peak area (approximately 1,931 m above sea level) is located within the Phia Oắc - Phia Đén National Park (Thành Công commune, Nguyên Bình district, Cao Bằng province).
Some years ago, cold fronts swept through this area, causing temperatures to drop to around -2 to -5 degrees Celsius, and ice and snow appeared.
