Resort tourism, villas in Hon Ba Nature Reserve

According to the recently approved project, the locality will develop eco-tourism, resort and entertainment destinations including Hon Ba peak eco-tourism destination, check-in eco-tourism destination, sightseeing and observation of flora and fauna.

On January 22, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had approved the eco-tourism, resort and entertainment project of Hon Ba Nature Reserve for the period 2023 - 2029.

The reserve will have villas and bungalows.

The project implementation scope covers the entire area of ​​19,285 hectares of Hon Ba Nature Reserve in 3 sub-zones including the 9,519-hectare strictly protected sub-zone; the 9,553-hectare ecological restoration sub-zone and the 213-hectare administrative tourism sub-zone.

According to the project, there will be eco-tourism and spiritual tourism products. This is the most typical and important tourism product in Hon Ba Nature Reserve with spiritual tourism to Hon Ba Pagoda, nature exploration tourism, tourism combined with biological, geological and climate research.

In addition, there are also specialized tourism products; resort tourism products; sports and adventure tourism products; tourism products of planting trees to commemorate memories, planting trees and afforestation...

Regarding the plan to develop eco-tourism, resort and entertainment spots, including Hon Ba peak eco-tourism spot with a total area of ​​103 hectares; Suoi Dau tourist spot with a total area of ​​447 hectares; eco-tourism spot for check-in, sightseeing and observing animals and plants with a planned 17 observation points.

The project plans to build facilities for eco-tourism, resorts and entertainment at the top of Hon Ba.

Specifically, there will be a number of villas, bungalows, a model of Truc Lam Hon Ba Pagoda and a number of other resort and entertainment projects; a number of roads will be established in the tourist area and trails under the forest canopy connecting to the tourist area about 2.5 km.

Notably, the project will also build works serving eco-tourism, resorts and entertainment in the Suoi Dau tourist area such as the administrative area and auxiliary works; rest stops; water supply, drainage and wastewater treatment systems; suspension bridge to the botanical garden; animal and plant specimen rooms; other related resort and entertainment works...

No impact on biodiversity

According to the newly issued project, the principles for constructing works serving ecotourism, resorts, and entertainment in forests must strictly comply with the provisions of Article 15 of Decree No. 156 of the Government.

In addition, construction works serving eco-tourism, resorts and entertainment must ensure that they do not affect the biodiversity and natural landscape of the forest.

For the strictly protected subdivision of Hon Ba Nature Reserve, only trails, overhead cables, underground cables, landscape observation stations, shelters, and forest protection signs combined with eco-tourism are allowed to be established.

In the ecological restoration subdivision of Hon Ba Nature Reserve, only suitable roads may be established, but not exceeding the scale of a grade IV mountain road, landscape observation stations, shelters, signposts, overhead cable lines, underground cable lines, and pedestrian bridges in flooded forests.

In the administrative service subdivision of the nature reserve and habitat conservation area, works are built to serve eco-tourism, resort, entertainment activities and promote the value of historical-cultural relics and scenic spots; without affecting national defense, security, scenic spots and historical-cultural relics.

According to the recently approved project, the Hon Ba Nature Reserve Management Board will organize, cooperate, associate or lease the forest environment to organizations and individuals for ecotourism, resort and entertainment business according to regulations.
