Binh Dinh proposes to reduce ticket prices and increase flight frequency to attract tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vu, Chairman of Binh Dinh Province Tourism Association, said that high airfare prices (since summer) have affected the prices of tours in the province.

According to Mr. Vu, this situation is not only faced by businesses in Binh Dinh province but also by travel agencies in other localities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, which are facing “high prices and difficulty in doing business” when bringing tourists back.

After receiving feedback from the Tourism Association, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province sent a document to airlines including Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines); Vietnam Travel Airlines Joint Stock Company (Vietravel Airlines); VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet); VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet) regarding air passenger transport prices.

Accordingly, in the official dispatch signed by Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee mentioned that "recently, according to the reflection of Binh Dinh Tourism Association and a number of travel businesses, the price of passenger transport by air to and from Binh Dinh province has increased higher than the general level of the whole country and a number of provinces and cities in the region."

The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that in order to effectively implement the signed cooperation agreements, the People's Committee requested airlines to coordinate in providing information on passenger transport prices and flight frequencies to and from Binh Dinh province in recent times.

At the same time, airlines have discussed and coordinated with Binh Dinh province and relevant agencies and units to implement solutions to reduce prices, increase flight frequency, and create favorable conditions to attract tourists to Binh Dinh province in the coming time.
