Photographer Dao Ngoc Canh is a lover of capturing Vietnam's natural landscapes. Recently, he shared a collection of photos of Cao Bang at various locations, showcasing breathtakingly beautiful moments.
"In Cao Bang, I took photos at many places during my trip, but mainly in Trung Khanh, Ha Lang, and Phia Oac mountain peak. In particular, the Trung Khanh area has spots like Ngoc Khe, Ban Viet lake, and Ban Gioc waterfall," the male photographer shared.
Ban Viet Lake possesses the peaceful beauty of the autumn foliage.
The gentle, silken cascades of water flow down in layers of white at Ban Gioc Waterfall, creating a majestic landscape of Cao Bang's mountains and rivers.
Cao Bang, located in northeastern Vietnam, boasts a dense network of rivers and streams, with mountainous terrain and valleys. Late November and early December is when the leaves of the trees change color, and mist drifts gently over the lakes. According to Dao Ngoc Canh, the weather in Trung Khanh is very cold, only 2-3 degrees Celsius, making it particularly chilly to photograph at sunrise, especially at the summit of Phia Oac mountain.

There's no need to travel far or go abroad; tourists can admire breathtaking snow-covered landscapes just as beautiful as those in other countries when they visit Cao Bang. A lesser-known but ideal spot for snow hunting is the Phia Oac mountain range. Located at an altitude of 1930 meters above sea level in Nguyen Binh district, about 73 km from the center of Cao Bang, this area is a must-see for visitors.
From above, you can immerse yourself in a sea of white clouds, as if standing amidst the clouds. Snowfall isn't as frequent in Phia Oac as in Sapa or Lang Son, but if you're lucky, you might see snowflakes blanketing the fields and forests in winter. Attracted by this mesmerizing beauty, tourists are increasingly flocking to Cao Bang to see, enjoy, and capture memorable photos on this mountaintop.
Tourists can also witness the pristine white snow and ice at the summit of Phia Oac mountain, covering an entire area, without having to travel abroad.
"The freezing -6 degree Celsius temperature affected the shooting process and the equipment. But in return, the weather and scenery always provide endless inspiration for me to capture beautiful landscapes in Cao Bang. Witnessing the stunning moments of nature, especially when the trees burst into vibrant red foliage, helps me dispel the biting cold. Through these photos, I want to spread the majestic beauty of Cao Bang to domestic and international tourists, encouraging them to come and explore the natural beauty and culture of this Northeast region," the male photographer further shared.
