The reason for the above decision is the battery safety issue of this computer line. Not only is the 15-inch MacBook Pro banned as carry-on baggage, but it is also strictly prohibited to send the 15-inch MacBook Pro for transport by cargo. Passengers who intentionally violate the regulations may be refused transport and punished according to regulations. This decision was made by the Civil Aviation Authority based on the recall document No. 19-152 of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as the decision to ban transport by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
According to the request from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, airlines need to inform all agents, ticket offices and develop control procedures and security questions for passengers when checking in to properly implement this regulation.

The Civil Aviation Authority also requires airlines to develop a coordination process with passengers and relevant parties in handling detected and banned computers to avoid loss of passengers' property.
On the flight, if the flight crew notices that a passenger is carrying and using a Mackook Pro 15 inch version with a recalled battery, the flight crew must immediately instruct the passenger to perform the following requirements: turn off the computer, do not charge the battery and comply with the response procedure established by the airline.
