As someone working in the tourism industry in Binh Dinh, Mr. Hong Phuoc has always wanted to promote the culinary delights of his hometown in his own unique way. Therefore, when organizing his wedding, he came up with the idea of using Binh Dinh specialties for the wedding trays and tent.
“Binh Dinh has so many delicious dishes associated with childhood memories, from sticky rice cakes wrapped in thorny leaves, fermented pork sausage, market-style spring rolls, coconut rice paper, to Bau Da wine, printed cakes, Thuan cakes, and Hong cakes... I want to turn the wedding into an opportunity to introduce these local products to friends near and far,” he shared.

Besides cakes and fruits, the wedding trays are also adorned with small, pretty vegetables, in line with the groom's "green living, clean living" philosophy. Carrots, tomatoes, radishes, corn, eggplant, lemons, kumquats... are all carefully selected from seasonal varieties, ensuring freshness and usability after the wedding.
These wedding trays are uniquely decorated, harmoniously combining specialties from Binh Dinh province with fresh vegetables.
From idea to reality
Initially, when they heard about the idea, both families were quite surprised because no one had ever done anything like it before. But seeing the young couple's dedication, everyone gradually became enthusiastic and supportive. The preparation process was elaborate and lasted many days. "We spent about two days selecting and ordering ingredients. Finding specialties wasn't too difficult because Binh Dinh has long-standing traditional craft villages, but gathering a large quantity of vegetables required more careful sourcing," Phuoc recounted.

A team of eight from Hoang Hieu Decor worked continuously for 20 hours to decorate the wedding tent. Meanwhile, another group of three spent almost a day completing the elaborate trays of cakes, fruits, and vegetables. The biggest challenge was the unpredictable weather, with overcast skies and light rain throughout the preparation process. But luckily, on the wedding day, the weather cleared up, like a gift for the newlyweds.

With a total cost of around 20 million VND, the wedding was not only economical but also held special sentimental value. "I felt it was very reasonable, because the most important thing was that all the guests were delighted to see the cakes associated with their childhood appearing on the table," Mr. Phuoc shared. The wedding was not only a happy day for the couple, but also an opportunity to connect with friends and family through sweet memories from hometown dishes.

Numerous comments praised the couple's creativity, with some even expressing a desire to adopt this idea for their own weddings. "I'm happy that the wedding was not only a special day for the couple, but also contributed to spreading love for Binh Dinh's specialties to many people," Mr. Phuoc happily said.
