Ideas from love of homeland
As a tourism worker in Binh Dinh, Mr. Hong Phuoc always wants to promote the culinary quintessence of his hometown in his own way. Therefore, when organizing a wedding, he came up with the idea of using Binh Dinh specialties to make wedding trays and set up a tent.
“Binh Dinh has so many delicious dishes associated with childhood memories, from gai leaf cake, tre, district market spring rolls, coconut water rice paper to Bau Da wine, in cake, thuan cake, hong cake... I want to turn the wedding into an occasion to introduce these products to friends near and far,” he shared.

Not only cakes, the wedding tray is also decorated with small and pretty vegetables, in line with the criteria of "living green, living clean" that he aims for. Carrots, tomatoes, radishes, corn, eggplant, lemons, kumquats... are all carefully selected from the types that are in season, ensuring freshness and can be used after the wedding.

From idea to reality
Initially, when hearing about this idea, both families were quite surprised because no one had ever done this before. But when seeing the young couple's dedication, everyone gradually became excited and enthusiastically supported. The preparation process was elaborate, lasting many days. "It took us about two days to select and order the ingredients. Finding specialties was not too difficult because Binh Dinh has long-standing traditional craft villages, but to collect a large amount of vegetables, we had to find the source more carefully," Phuoc said.
Setting up the tent and making the wedding tray also requires no less meticulousness.

Setting up the tent and making the wedding trays also required meticulousness. A team of eight people from Hoang Hieu Decor team worked continuously for 20 hours to decorate the wedding tent. Meanwhile, another group of three people spent nearly a day to complete the elaborate trays of cakes, fruits and vegetables. The biggest difficulty was the unpredictable weather, which was cloudy and had light rain during the preparation process. But luckily, on the wedding day, the sky cleared up, like a gift for the couple.

Simple but meaningful wedding
With a total cost of about 20 million VND, the wedding is not only economical but also has special spiritual value. "I feel it is very reasonable, because the most important thing is that all guests are excited to see cakes associated with their childhood appearing on the banquet table," Mr. Phuoc shared. The wedding is not only a happy day for the couple, but also an opportunity to connect friends and family with sweet memories from hometown dishes.

As soon as the wedding photos were spread on social networks, many people expressed their excitement and admiration. Many comments praised the creativity of the young couple, and some even expressed their desire to apply this idea to their own wedding. "I am happy because the wedding is not only an important day for the couple, but also contributes to spreading the love for Binh Dinh specialties to many people," said Mr. Phuoc happily.
