Not only does it provide an experience close to nature, it also contributes to protecting local resources, minimizing environmental impacts and creating long-term value for the community.
The man behind Blue Diamond Retreat is Mr. Nguyen Chau A - founder of Oxalis Adventure, a famous cave exploration tour organizer in Quang Binh. Sharing about Blue Diamond Retreat, he said: “Since 2017, I have nurtured the dream of building a resort in harmony with nature, aiming for net zero. After many years of operating and developing adventure tours, I realized that tourists not only need a place to rest after their journey of discovery, but they also look for a space to connect with nature, recharge and enjoy true peace.”
The name “Blue Diamond” is not only inspired by the emerald green stream but also carries the meaning of a “blue diamond” - quietly shining in the middle of the forest.

The accommodation includes 5 jungle bungalows and 4 comfortable campsites, with a maximum capacity of about 280 people. Each bungalow has four bedrooms and a common room, using natural teak wood, double-layer roofs and a natural ventilation system, helping to cool. In addition, there is a cooling system using air from the underground tunnel, maintaining a stable temperature in the summer, bringing maximum comfort to visitors.
All the buildings are built using prefabricated houses, without using solid building materials, helping to preserve the surrounding natural ecosystem. “The most special thing about Blue Diamond Retreat is its commitment to sustainable tourism with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2026,” Mr. Chau A shared.

Green construction in the middle of the jungle
According to the founder, the journey to build Blue Diamond Retreat towards the goal of net zero was not easy. From design, materials to construction structure, everything was carefully researched to minimize the impact on the environment.
All items, from bungalows to camping areas, are developed in a sustainable direction: using environmentally friendly solar energy, contributing to creating a unique resort in the heart of Quang Binh.
The entire Blue Diamond Retreat is built using modular methods, without using solid foundations or concrete to protect the soil and the tree root system. No trees were cut down during construction - all designs take advantage of the available terrain. The resort is 100% solar powered, rainwater is collected and filtered for use in daily life and watering plants. Waste is sorted at source, organic waste is composted, and no single-use plastic is used - instead, use eco-friendly products such as cloth bags and glass bottles.
Each house is equipped with a solar power system.
Blue Diamond Retreat prioritizes the use of local labor and materials, from the operating staff to the daily food served. Creating employment opportunities for local people not only contributes to improving the quality of life but also promotes community awareness of sustainable development. In addition, the resort also actively participates in nature conservation and environmental education activities. With the motto of "connecting with nature", this place brings profound experiences, helping visitors truly immerse themselves in the cool green space and enjoy rare peace.
