Besides offering a close-to-nature experience, this place also contributes to protecting local resources, minimizing environmental impact, and creating long-term value for the community.
The man behind Blue Diamond Retreat is Mr. Nguyen Chau A, the founder of Oxalis Adventure, a company that organizes famous cave exploration tours in Quang Binh. Sharing about Blue Diamond Retreat, he said: “Since 2017, I have nurtured the dream of building a resort that blends seamlessly with nature, aiming for a net-zero return. After many years of managing and developing adventure tours, I realized that tourists not only need a place to rest after their exploration journey, but they also seek a space to connect with nature, recharge their energy, and enjoy true peace.”
The name "Blue Diamond" is not only inspired by the turquoise stream but also signifies a "blue diamond" - quietly shining amidst the vast forest.

The accommodation comprises 5 jungle bungalows and 4 well-equipped campsites, with a maximum capacity of approximately 280 people. Each bungalow has four bedrooms and a common room, constructed with natural teak wood, a double-layered roof, and a natural ventilation system for cooling. In addition, an underground airflow cooling system maintains a stable temperature during the summer, providing maximum comfort for guests.
All structures are built using prefabricated methods, avoiding the use of solid building materials, thus preserving the surrounding natural ecosystem. “What makes Blue Diamond Retreat so special is its commitment to sustainable tourism, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2026,” Mr. Chau Asia shared.
The bungalows, named Sunrise, Sunflower, Sunset, Twilight, and Moonlight, are nestled under the trees, with a clear stream winding through the limestone mountains in front, creating a peaceful and nature-friendly setting. This is a place where visitors can both relax and participate in outdoor exploration activities.

Additionally, the resort features five treehouses built on ancient fig trees along the stream, offering a unique accommodation experience. A 770-meter-long wooden walkway, approximately 1 meter above the ground, connects the structures, protecting the vegetation and facilitating easy movement in all weather conditions, while also serving as a popular spot for tourists to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

According to the founder, the journey to build Blue Diamond Retreat towards a net-zero goal was not easy. From design and materials to the building's structure, everything was meticulously researched to minimize the environmental impact.
All facilities, from bungalows to campsites, are developed sustainably: utilizing environmentally friendly solar energy, contributing to creating a unique resort in the heart of Quang Binh.
The entire structure at Blue Diamond Retreat is built using a modular method, without using solid foundations or concrete to protect the soil and tree root systems. No trees were cut down during construction – all designs utilize the existing terrain. The resort operates 100% on solar energy, and rainwater is collected and filtered for use in daily life and irrigation. Waste is sorted at the source, organic waste is composted, and single-use plastics are avoided – replaced by eco-friendly products such as cloth bags and glass bottles.
Each building is equipped with a solar power system.
Blue Diamond Retreat prioritizes the use of local labor and materials, from its operational staff to its daily food supplies. Creating employment opportunities for local people not only contributes to improving their quality of life but also promotes community awareness of sustainable development. Furthermore, the resort actively participates in nature conservation and environmental education activities. With its motto of "connecting with nature," it offers profound experiences, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the lush greenery and enjoy rare tranquility.
