On June 8, 2025, at the Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel, Multi-Style Media Joint Stock Company held a press conference to announce the launch of the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 competition - one of the typical cultural and tourism events, aimed at promoting the image of Vietnam, its people and culture to international friends.
Vietnam has always been proud of its rich cultural and natural heritage, often described as "golden forests and silver seas," along with thousands of famous scenic spots. To maximize this potential, the Government has issued a National Strategy for Tourism Development with the goal of making Vietnam one of the top three destinations in Southeast Asia and among the top 50 most competitive tourism destinations in the world by 2025.
The Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 pageant is organized with the mission of honoring the beauty, intelligence, talent, and strength of Vietnamese women.
Within the framework of this strategy, the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2026 pageant is organized with the mission of honoring the beauty, intelligence, talent, and strength of Vietnamese women; and at the same time, serving as a bridge to spread the cultural values, landscapes, and image of the country closer to the international community. The competition is not only a journey to find outstanding individuals but also a place where each contestant becomes a "Tourism Ambassador," spreading pride in their homeland throughout the country and the world.
With the theme "Vietnam Shines Bright," the 2026 competition continues the success of previous years, promising to spread the cultural values and beauty of Vietnam to friends around the world. Following the strong impressions from the 2022 and 2024 journeys – through famous landmarks such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Cam Pha… – the competition has contributed to bringing the image of Vietnam, from the plains to the mountains, from cities to coastal areas, closer to the hearts of people both at home and abroad.
The Miss Tourism Vietnam pageant is not only a beauty contest but also a journey to inspire patriotism, community spirit, and the aspiration to reach out to the world among the younger generation. The competition aims to find an outstanding individual to assume the responsibility of Tourism Ambassador, representing Vietnamese women at international tourism events to further promote and introduce the image of the country, along with its cultural beauty, national identity, and people, to the international community.
In the context of the current boom in beauty pageants, People's Artist Quang Vinh - former Director of the Department of Performing Arts, President of the Hanoi Music Association, and Chairman of the judging panel of the competition - believes that Miss Tourism Vietnam is always different from other beauty pageants, even its name reflects the criteria and meaning of the competition. "Even the Government has national actions regarding tourism. Clearly, it's the aspiration of the whole country. The difference here lies in the goals and direction. We want to find people with the potential to become Tourism Ambassadors, who are both beautiful and capable of communicating their knowledge about tourism to stimulate the country's key economic sector," he shared.

The competition features a rigorous selection process with a panel of professional judges, well-structured training programs, and accompanying activities aimed at promoting tourism development, creating a fair and inspiring competition.
