The Hanoi Tourism Festival, organized by the Hanoi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, aims to stimulate tourism demand and restore and develop the city's tourism industry in 2022 as the pandemic subsides.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of the Center, the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2022 will apply Industry 4.0 technology not only to attract domestic and international tourists but also to encourage Hanoi residents to travel to attractive destinations in Hanoi such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison historical site, the Old Quarter, Ba Vi, My Duc, Soc Son, and Son Tay areas...
The event features approximately 150 booths, divided into two areas: a direct and an online tourism promotion space. The direct space is located in the Ly Thai To flower garden area and Dinh Tien Hoang street; while the online space includes 2D and 3D exhibition websites showcasing and offering tourism products from tourism businesses on digital platforms.

The festival features various art spaces such as: 2D and 3D miniature landscapes showcasing Hanoi's tourist destinations for visitors to check in; booths from sponsoring organizations and provinces/cities introducing tourism and local specialties; booths from international tourism agencies; tourism booths and counters introducing tour packages, travel combos, hotels, and airline tickets; and a Hanoi craft village and culinary space showcasing some typical craft products and prominent dishes and specialties of the capital city in the Octagonal House area.
The Hanoi Tourism Festival is part of a series of events promoting Hanoi tourism in 2022. Because it is being held during the SEA Games 31, it is also an opportunity to introduce Hanoi as an attractive and safe destination to friends from other countries participating in the SEA Games 31.

Earlier, during the April 29th - May 1st holiday, Hanoi's tourism units also organized several activities within the framework of a series of events such as: the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, the opening ceremony of the Son Tay - Xu Doai Tourism Year and the inauguration of the Son Tay Ancient Citadel pedestrian street, giving gifts to tourists visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Bat Trang tourism week, and art performances and street food in Tay Ho district in 2022.
In addition, from May 19th to 23rd, the Hanoi Traditional Food and Tourism Festival will take place in the Le Quang Dao street area (Nam Tu Liem district) to introduce traditional Hanoi cuisine to domestic and international tourists.
