Trains have long been a secondary mode of transport to air travel. However, train travel is about to be taken to a whole new level with a trip on Belmond’s Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. To make things even more exciting, the company is launching a special upgrade called “The Party” for its upcoming anniversary.

Although the Orient Express first debuted in the late 1800s, traveling east from Paris to Bulgaria and Istanbul, it wasn't until the 1920s that the famous luxury train added a southern route to Italy. This once-glorious train was the sole setting in Agatha Christie's 1934 mystery novel, Murder on the Orient Express.
And now, the legendary 1920s carriage has become the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, and will serve passengers on a very special trip called “The Party” in March 2020. This round trip will last two nights and will start at the Belmond Cipriani Hotel in Venice, Italy - where passengers will be treated to a sumptuous party.
The next morning, board the train and travel to London for a journey through the “Golden Age of Seduction.” Along this route, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express takes you through Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France, passing through the tranquil countryside to snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear lakes.
On the train, visitors will be dressed in Gatsby-style costumes along with the crew to create a nostalgic atmosphere. The train consists of 17 antique carriages, all completed in the 1920s, with luxurious interiors of the aristocracy. With the luxurious classic decoration, visitors will be able to experience the vivid life of the aristocracy in the 1920s.

The food is also a highlight of the journey. As the stunning views of the Dolomites and Alps pass by, guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course lunch, followed by a drink in Bar Car 3674. A sumptuous four-course dinner, paired with wine, will be followed by a lively evening party. A continental breakfast is served in the cabin and a true English afternoon tea is served before the train arrives at London Victoria Station.
The price to pay for a ticket for “The Party” will start from £3,760/person (about 120 million VND), including a night stay at the Belmond Cipriani hotel in a Garden View room, tickets to the opening party, a double cabin room on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and all drinks, meals and entertainment on board.
