Quang An Street is approximately 1.1 km long, starting from the intersection of Tu Hoa Street and Xuan Dieu Street and extending to the intersection with Quang Khanh Street. The street is one side of the Quang An peninsula - an ancient landmass jutting out into West Lake.
In the list of the 30 most beautiful streets in the world, Quang An Street in Tay Ho, Hanoi, represents Vietnam, ranking 25th. Time Out magazine describes Quang An Street, running along the eastern shore of West Lake (extending from the intersection of Tu Hoa Street and Xuan Dieu Street to the intersection with Quang Khanh Street), as a vibrant, international center of Hanoi.
The peaceful beauty of Quang An Street
Quang An Street runs along the eastern bank of Tay Ho District, about 5 km north of the Old Quarter. Visitors can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere with a vast lake on one side and villas of various architectural styles on the other. This is also a popular residential area for many foreigners.
Some popular outdoor sports activities include cycling and jogging, as they allow people to breathe fresh air and enjoy the peaceful view of the breezy West Lake.
Besides Hanoi's Quang An street making it into the Top 30, several streets in other Southeast Asian countries were also recognized, such as Jalan Petaling in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia); Ban Tad Thong in Bangkok (Thailand); Cecil Street in Singapore and LP Leviste in Manila (Philippines).
