This is the second year the contest, sponsored by the Artistic Travel Photography Association, has been held to honor talented photographers from around the world.
This year, there were more than 4,500 entries from 107 countries across seven categories: Abstract, Nature, People, Sports, Wildlife, Urban and Video. Some 44 photographers won prizes in each category of the competition, which celebrates a wide range of photography genres rather than focusing solely on traditional photographic elements.
Images are taken and filmed by flying devices such as Drones or Flycams, recording vivid images beyond the normal human eye range on the ground.
This year's “Photographer of the Year” honor was awarded to Jacek Deneka (Poland) for his work of cross-country skiers at the Bieg Piastow Ski Festival in Jakuszyce, Poland.
