Recently, at Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Centre, the event "Business Trip Trends - Networking and Exchange Workshop" took place, featuring Quang Vinh - singer, travel blogger, and social media influencer; Le Ha Truc - model, businesswoman, and travel blogger; and Linh Le - entrepreneur and renowned expert in the tourism industry, who shared their experiences on how to balance work and life. Also attending the workshop were Mr. Benjamin Schwarz, General Director of Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Centre, and Mr. Winston Gong, General Director of Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay. The two experts shared unique aspects of the design and services offered by Crowne Plaza hotels to meet the needs and trends of business trips combined with leisure for modern young entrepreneurs – a promising segment for the tourism industry.
The seminar "Trends in Combining Business and Leisure" featured three of Vietnam's leading young influencers and two hotel CEOs from the IHG Group.
Held at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Centre, one of Crowne Plaza's next-generation hotels, this exclusive event followed the completion of the first study on "Business Trip Trends." To share the key findings of the study, Crowne Plaza invited over 100 guests to a panel discussion on business trip trends, a Q&A session, and a dinner party, providing networking opportunities for attendees.
During the discussion, the guests discussed the Business Vacation Trends Study based on four emerging sub-trends that meet the growing needs of travelers:
·Flexible remote work:As the trend of remote work has become increasingly popular, entrepreneurs are choosing more ideal locations to work, such as beach resorts or suburban vacation destinations.
·Combining work and leisure:More and more businesspeople are planning to extend their business trips to combine them with vacation time and bring their families along.
·People who hone new skills and work in various jobs do so they can travel:Young people travel to find new inspiration, to socialize, connect, and seek entrepreneurial opportunities.
·Multigenerational families traveling together:Businesspeople are increasingly preferring to travel with multiple generations of their families, so they will also look for a destination that can meet the vacation needs of all ages.

Travel blogger Quang Vinh shared his thoughts on the topic of flexible remote work: “Previously, when I needed to communicate with artists, producers, or partners, I always had to meet in person, but things have become much easier with free video calls. Nowadays, staying in touch while traveling is even easier and more convenient than before, especially when you're in a hotel that provides the technology and space to easily connect.”
Responding to a Travellive reporter during the discussion, Quang Vinh stated: "Despite the packed schedule, what I truly appreciate about each trip is the opportunity to visit new places and meet new people, making me want to return several times to immerse myself in their way of life. Therefore, in addition to the well-equipped facilities and space that allow me to work effectively despite frequent travel, visiting a new place always provides a lot of inspiration for my work and life. That's the best thing about business trips combined with relaxation."
When discussing the topic of combining work and leisure, businessman Linh Le said: “Personally, I have been doing this for many years. If I attend a conference or meeting abroad, I like to arrive a day early to acclimatize to the time zone or weather – this helps me maintain good spirits to work more effectively, or I will also extend the trip by two days afterward to explore a new destination.”
Model Le Ha Truc shared her perspective on people who hone new skills and work in different professions to travel: “Going to new places and doing things we’ve never experienced before brings us creativity and new sources of inspiration. However, for this very reason, I think we also need to learn many new skills to work more effectively in different jobs, especially in creative fields.”
Benjamin Schwarz commented on multi-generational family travel as follows: “We need to consider this segment as the trend of business trips combined with leisure travel continues to grow.
