The primeval forest with high coverage creates a surprisingly fresh and cool atmosphere. Despite the hot weather, just stopping for 2-3 minutes under the shady trees, the whole group felt refreshed and full of energy to continue the journey of discovery.
“The journey through the National Park lasted about 5 hours. Our group overcame steep cliffs and cat-ear cliffs. In the forest, there are ancient trees that are hundreds of years old along with countless species of birds and storks. Although I was tired because the journey was 8 km long, the scenery here was completely worth it,” said Quoc Khanh.

What impressed Quoc Khanh the most was the diversity of flora and fauna in the National Park. Luckily, the group went during the butterfly season. Along the trail, he was able to admire the colorful butterflies fluttering around, creating a picturesque scene. The chirping of birds echoed throughout the mountains and forests like a melodious song, bringing him to a wild and vibrant world.
With his close friends, he had an exciting journey, weaving through the shady trees, crossing the rugged rocks to reach the top of the mountain. From here, he could admire the panoramic view of Cat Ba, as beautiful as a watercolor painting.

Besides, this trip was even more special when he had the opportunity to swim at the pristine, poetic beaches. The clear, cool sea water seemed to help dispel all fatigue. His group had a fun night at Viet Hai Ancient Village, immersing themselves in the simple, rustic atmosphere of the Vietnamese countryside.
“My most memorable memory is that the group had a very happy evening at Viet Hai Ancient Village. We had a delicious dinner and then had group activities to remember the moments we had overcome on our journey over the mountain”, Quoc Khanh recalled with emotion.

You should also prepare a compact medical kit including antiseptic, bandages, pain relievers, fever reducers... to treat minor wounds or handle unexpected medical situations. When encountering reptiles such as snakes and centipedes, stay calm and move slowly away. Absolutely do not touch or catch them because this action can make them feel threatened and attack people.
The hot summer makes the body easily dehydrated, you should bring plenty of drinking water and regularly replenish electrolytes to maintain health throughout the journey. Above all, conquering the forest also requires perseverance and courage. Prepare yourself mentally for the challenges and maintain your determination to complete the journey.

“If you want to climb mountains and also swim in the sea like me, this is the right time. Because from June onwards there will be more rain, bad weather and floods will be frequent. Or you can also trek Cat Ba National Park in winter but you will not be able to swim in the sea because it is very cold,” Quoc Khanh advised.
