It is expected that the majority of international visitors to this locality from November and December 2021 to February 2022 will be overseas Vietnamese, and visitors from key tourism markets such as South Korea and Japan.
In addition, Da Nang city will also work closely with the five provinces and cities allowed to pilot receiving international tourists: Quang Nam, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), and Quang Ninh, to link tourism, exchange international tourists in multiple directions, and enrich the tourist market between localities.

Da Nang will reopen to tourism in three phases as follows:
Phase 1 (from November 2021): pilot program to welcome international tourists through package tours, via international charter and commercial flights. Da Nang will select service providers (hotels/resorts, tourist areas/attractions, golf courses, etc.) that suit the needs of different tourist groups to ensure the best possible service.
Phase 2 (from January 2022): Expanding the scope of international tourist arrivals, connecting destinations through regular international charter and commercial flights. Da Nang will also collaborate with other destinations participating in the pilot program to create diversity in tourism experiences in Da Nang and other localities welcoming international tourists.
In phase 3, the city will fully reopen to the international tourist market, with the timeline depending on the assessment criteria from the first two phases.
