On October 22nd, the leaders of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee announced that Mr. Phan Cao Thang, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had signed a decision approving and supplementing the partial adjustment of the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for the Quy Nhon Bay tourism area. This adjustment is related to the relocation of three large hotels along An Duong Vuong road to reclaim land for the construction of a park for the people.

Binh Dinh province has decided to relocate three large hotels along the Quy Nhon coastline to make way for a public park.

The decision announced that the demolition and relocation of the two hotels, Hai Au (a 4-star international hotel) and Hoang Yen (a 3-star international hotel), would be completed no later than the expiration of each project's land lease. According to records, the Hai Au hotel's land lease will expire at the end of 2019, and the Hoang Yen hotel's land lease will expire in 2052.

According to Mr. Dung, Binh Dinh is one of the few localities in the country that is willing to spend hundreds of billions of dong on compensation just to gain coastal space and build public parks to serve the people.
