Mr. Christoph Prommersberger, Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands to Vietnam, highly appreciated Vietnam's sustainability goals until 2050. Drawing on experience from Europe, he pointed out the challenges in turning commitments into results. Mr. Christoph Prommersberger pointed out the key role of the business community in the green transition, especially when new EU regulations, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), begin to be applied.

“As the world prepares for the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), the Green Economy Forum provides a timely platform to highlight the importance of eco-conscious strategies and innovation. By aligning our discussions with the core objectives of COP28 and Vietnam’s National Green Growth Strategy, we aim to reinforce global sustainability commitments, re-emphasize the principles of the Paris Agreement, and provide the business community with the tools needed to achieve a just green economy,” said a EuroCham representative.
