With themes revolving around: cuisine, nature, culture and urban life, young Vietnamese people have recreated impressive, joyful and vibrant images of Taiwan - a favorite destination for dynamic and creative young people.
Launched on October 18, 2022, the contest "Touch the beat of Taiwan" - Design T-shirts with OhBear has attracted hundreds of thousands of interactions interested in the contest, and received 70 valid entries. After 2 preliminary rounds and voting rounds, as well as evaluation from professional judges, 8 outstanding young people were selected and received a support package to produce designs into tourism promotion application products.
The final round of the OhBear T-Shirt Design Contest organized by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam is a contest held following the event of Taiwan officially opening and restoring its visa policy.
Mr. Derek Chou - Chief Representative of Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh Office) interacted with each author, as well as took souvenir photos at each exhibition space.
He shared: “Through this contest, he highly appreciated and was very impressed by the creative works that combined Vietnamese and Taiwanese cultural elements. He also hopes that Vietnamese people can come to Taiwan to travel and experience it directly because there are many other interesting places that we do not know about. In 2023, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Ho Chi Minh City will also try to promote many interesting destinations as well as introduce the unique culture of Taiwan to Vietnamese people."
Judge Ha Do - Creative Director of Dep Magazine also expressed her interest in the identity image of OhBear and the way the contestants expressed their ideas, especially with designs with simple elements, not too fussy, creating a harmonious and eye-catching overall picture.
In the end, 3 outstanding contestants became the final winners of the Contest, and received prizes of great value such as laptops, design screens, travel suitcases and indispensable accessories for creative travelers.
The overall first prize went to Nguyen Xuan Quyen, who exceeded expectations with his concise presentation and his nature-centric exhibition area.
