From May 20, 2024, cruise ships at Song Han Port will temporarily stop operating to serve the dismantling and handover of the site. The Han River cruise ships will move to anchor at the Central Oil Spill Response Center (old Song Thu Port). After completing the installation of infrastructure and equipment at the new location, the cruise ships will pick up and drop off passengers here.
The Han River port area - where the yachts are moored - is the area where the fireworks are held. The 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival takes place from June 8 to July 13 at the Han River port (firework area) and the sidewalk of Tran Hung Dao street on the opposite side of the East bank of the Han River (main grandstand and stage). Therefore, the fireworks display area is right at the Han River port - the mooring location of the Han River yachts. Therefore, the Han River yachts must move their docks during the fireworks to make room for the preparation and display of fireworks.

The City People's Committee also requested Song Thu Corporation to supplement and complete technical infrastructure, relocate pontoon bridges and boats moored at the current pier, clear the site and clear the channel for boats to enter and exit the wharf safely.
It is known that the Han River port area will be handed over to serve DIFF 2024 from May 22 to July 22.
During this time, the Border Guard Command and the City Police strictly control passenger transport activities; increase patrols, and arrange officers and soldiers on tourist boats to support security, order, and traffic safety.
