On January 4, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it will continue to organize the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) in 2024 in June and July. Accordingly, the venue for DIFF 2024 includes the Han River port area (shooting ground) and the sidewalk area of Tran Hung Dao Street (performing arts).
DIFF 2024 is expected to have 8 participating teams, including 7 international teams: France, Italy, USA, Germany, Poland, China, Finland and Da Nang - Vietnam team. Among them are 3 rookies from the countries: USA, Germany, China participating in the performance and competition for the first time.
Da Nang City Fireworks Festival will return in the summer of 2024
This year’s event will have 5 competition nights, including 4 qualifying rounds and a final night. The opening night is scheduled to take place on the evening of June 8, followed by fireworks nights every Saturday night in the following weeks (with a week off before the final night). The final night of DIFF 2024 is expected to take place on July 13.
In each competition night, teams will have 20 minutes to perform fireworks displays according to the theme of each night agreed upon by the Organizing Committee. The general theme of DIFF 2024 is in the process of being selected, but the city leaders emphasized that DIFF 2024 will aim for the message of a peaceful, fair, harmonious and humane society.
2024 will be the 12th year DIFF is held in Da Nang. Previously, DIFF 2023 created a boost for Da Nang tourism to recover spectacularly after Covid-19 with growth figures exceeding expectations.
The return of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival marks an important step forward in positioning this beautiful coastal city on the international tourism map. DIFF 2024 is expected to continue to be a highlight event, bringing a sumptuous "summer party", attracting tourists from all over to the city of the Han River, contributing to helping the city become a global connection point, "Asia's leading event - festival destination" as honored twice by the World Travel Awards.
