The city of Da Lat, Lam Dong province, is bustling with preparations for the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, themed "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors". This is not only a provincial-level cultural and tourism event but also aims for national and international stature, affirming Da Lat's position as "Vietnam's Flower Festival City" and "UNESCO's Creative City in the field of music".
According to information from the Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat City (Lam Dong province), on the opening day of the Da Lat Flower Festival (December 5th), residents and tourists will receive free or 50% off tickets at 22 famous tourist attractions.
With the determination to create a national-level event, Lam Dong province is urgently preparing for the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival.
Specifically, there are 18 tourist attractions offering 100% free admission, including: The Story of the Sun; The Words of the Wind; Cau Dat Cloud Hunting Paradise; Bali Sky Gate; Garden of Eden; Lake on the Clouds; Chika Farm; Little House on the Prairie; Clay Tunnel; Hang Nga Villa… In addition, the Valley of Love tourist area will offer a 50% discount on tickets; Mongo Land, Puppy Farm, and Thuy Thuan Coffee will give away 500 tickets to visitors.
In particular, more than 20 businesses and famous tourist attractions in Da Lat will offer free or complimentary entrance tickets to visitors on the opening day of the Da Lat Flower Festival.
The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place on the evening of December 5th with a spectacular artistic program, combining traditional rituals of local ethnic groups with modern art forms. Throughout December, the city will organize 10 main programs along with many diverse supporting activities. Highlights include admiring the artistic floral displays at Xuan Huong Lake, an international seminar on green tourism development, street carnivals, a vegetable and flower market, a wine, tea, and coffee street, and art performances showcasing the unique local identity.
This is an opportunity to promote tourism and the local people to domestic and international tourists.
In particular, the floral displays will be designed by leading artisans, creating impressive miniature landscapes right on the surface of Xuan Huong Lake and the surrounding area. These works promise to be a unique highlight, attracting millions of tourists and locals to admire them.
Currently, preparations for the Festival, from urban beautification and stage construction to ensuring security and order, are being carried out urgently. The main stage construction is 60% complete and is being strictly monitored to ensure safety and quality.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival is not only an occasion to celebrate the beauty of Da Lat's flowers and nature, but also a chance for the community and tourists to share cultural and artistic values and love for the city of a thousand flowers.
