On this island, you won't find buckets or shovels for sale. However, you can easily find a Gucci bag worth 10,000 euros or works of art priced up to 250,000 euros.

The world's richest man, Elon Musk, is enjoying a summer vacation on the Greek island of Mykonos. Photos shared by Page Six on July 17th show Musk sunbathing on his yacht, Zeus, which is 22 meters long and costs approximately $20,000 per week to rent.

Musk was dressed in a blue T-shirt, black swim trunks, sunglasses, and flip-flops. Accompanying the billionaire on this trip were his close friend Sarah Staudinger, 33, a fashion designer and founder of the Staud brand, and her new husband, Ari Emanuel, 61.

Mykonos is a single island belonging to the Cyclades group of islands, with an area of approximately 85.5 square kilometers and an elevation of 341 meters above sea level. Previously, the island was just an ordinary fishing village with nothing particularly special about it. However, when former US First Lady Jackie Kennedy visited in 1961, a wave of celebrity tourism to Mykonos began to flourish. Soon after, top stars like Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren arrived on the island.

In recent years, Mykonos has emerged as a top choice for the ultra-rich. Unlike other tourist destinations that try to attract all social classes, Mykonos is a place exclusively for billionaires to spend money. Here, you won't find buckets or shovels to dig in the sand. But finding a Gucci handbag worth 10,000 euros (approximately 238 million VND) or a graffiti artwork worth 250,000 euros (approximately 5.9 billion VND) is easy.

With the influx of the elite, the fishing village seems to have disappeared, replaced by ultra-luxurious villas, restaurants, and clubs. The extravagance here is evident in the numerous yachts of the super-rich moored along the coastline, most notably the yacht of fashion mogul Stefano Gabbana. Notably, yacht mooring fees here are also exorbitant, estimated at around $300 million USD. Visitors without their own yachts can rent one for €480,000 per week (approximately 11 billion VND).

Besides yachts, you can also rent a helicopter on this island for €3,500 per 35-minute flight (86 million VND). During peak months, the cheapest 5-star hotel is estimated at around €1.1 million per month (26 billion VND). If you want to rent the most beautiful private villa on the island, you will have to pay €330,000 per week (7 billion VND per week).

According to The Guardian, just looking at the customer list of a famous restaurant on this island is enough to know how many big names it attracts, such as racing driver Lewis Hamilton (UK), supermodels Bella Hadid (USA), Heidi Klum (Germany), singer Nicole Scherzinger (USA), and actor Leonardo DiCaprio (USA)... They are willing to spend 5,000 euros a day (119 million VND) to rent a personal tent and sunbathe on the Nammos beach.

Mykonos Island has become a paradise for the elite.

If you want to visit private bars, you have to book months in advance, and there are always security guards to ensure absolute privacy. On the island, you can shop at Nammos Village. This location is home to 20 shops specializing in exclusive products from major brands. For example, a single T-shirt can cost 1,200 euros (approximately 28 million VND).

Thanks to the generosity of tourists, the staff here can make a living for the whole year by working hard during just one tourist season. Many billionaires have even been so impressed by the place that they've decided to buy land from local residents. Many have complained that land prices in Mykonos are sky-high, making it impossible to buy back what they could sell.
