Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019

In 2019, Khanh Hoa province was honored to be chosen by the Government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the host locality for the National Tourism Year 2019. Therefore, the 9th Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, held from May 10th to 13th, 2019 in Nha Trang city, will be the central and highlight activity of the locality to respond to the National Tourism Year 2019 program. This event aims to introduce, honor, preserve, and promote the spiritual values and cultural identity of the sea and islands of Khanh Hoa province and its people throughout history, as well as in the current process of building and developing the homeland.

With the theme "Nha Trang - The Colors of the Sea" (also the main theme of the 2019 National Tourism Year), this year's Sea Festival focuses on activities showcasing the harmonious blend of traditional Vietnamese culture with contemporary and modern cultural elements. In addition to the main programs held nightly at 2/4 Square in Nha Trang city, such as the Opening Ceremony of the 2019 National Tourism Year and the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019; the World of Colors Grand Concert and the Closing Ceremony of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2019; the Festival Week also features approximately 50 programs held on smaller stages along Tran Phu Street, promising visitors a variety of activities characteristic of the coastal region.

In addition, there are numerous scientific seminars, art exhibitions, art displays, sports activities, festivals... and many other cultural and artistic activities organized in several other localities in Khanh Hoa province.

The 9th Sea Festival serves as a bridge connecting with domestic and international friends to showcase the image of a dynamic, actively developing, and integrating region, through the traditional cultural values of Vietnam in general and Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa in particular.

This year's program continues to use the swallow bird logo – representing the swallows of Khanh Hoa – as a traditional symbol of the region, representing the resilience and courage of the people of Khanh Hoa. Furthermore, the entire program is staged by VNC Media Joint Stock Company, with poet Phan Thi Huyen Thu as the scriptwriter. It features breakthroughs in ideas, technology, sound, lighting, and content composition, conveying a message of integration, innovation, and development while preserving cultural identity.
