The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has decided to keep the two clusters of snake mascots in their original positions on Nguyen Hue flower street until the end of February so that residents and tourists can enjoy them.

Accordingly, the decorations on the flower street will be dismantled, cleared away, and the street surface returned to its original state tomorrow morning. However, the main display, featuring the pair of mythical creatures Kim and Ngan Ty at the entrance gate, along with the female Ty inside, will continue to be displayed on the pedestrian street until the end of February to continue serving the public and tourists. This decision to retain the mascots is similar to last year's Tet celebration.

Accordingly, the pair of Silver Snakes (female), 25 meters long, and Gold Snakes (male), 42 meters long, both coil their bodies in three intertwined loops, forming a base over 11 meters wide. The height from the base to the top of their heads is over 6 meters. 70% of the materials used in their construction are environmentally friendly. The heads and bellies of the snakes are covered with painted pressed bamboo panels, while the entire upper back is covered with reflective mica scales, creating a shimmering "gold" and "silver" effect. The Silver Snake has approximately 2,700 scales and the Gold Snake nearly 3,600 scales, all hand-attached and combined with LED lights running along both sides of its belly. The snake's eyes are also a highlight compared to the Year of the Snake in 2013. With a diameter of 10 cm and painted according to the design, the eyes of the Year of the Snake in 2025 give soul to the mascot.
