Suggested viewing spots for people coming to watch in person.
If you have the opportunity to visit Ho Chi Minh City and witness the parade on April 30th, knowing the route and choosing a suitable viewing spot will help residents and tourists fully enjoy the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony. Below are some suggested viewing points based on the directions along the route:
Le Duan Street
If you want to get a close-up view of the solemn parade formations and dazzling marching units, the section of Le Duan Street from Pasteur to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia is the best choice. This is where the main viewing platform is located, where the forces will simultaneously salute the flag, review their formations, and demonstrate their strength. However, this area will be cordoned off for organizational purposes, so people should arrive early and follow the instructions of the authorities if they want a good viewing spot.
Pasteur - Le Duan intersection
The intersection of Pasteur and Le Duan streets is not only close to the event center but also offers a spacious area, allowing viewers to have a panoramic view of both the procession entering the ceremonial platform and the beginning of the parade. This is an ideal spot for those who want to fully experience the solemn atmosphere of the city's historic morning ceremony.
Paris Commune roundabout - Dong Khoi Street
Located right next to Notre Dame Cathedral and the City Post Office, the Paris Commune roundabout is a popular destination for many locals during major holidays. From this location, viewers can witness special vehicle convoys and formations representing various professions and forces passing through the iconic streets of Ho Chi Minh City.
Hai Ba Trung Street
Hai Ba Trung Street, the section from Vo Thi Sau to Le Duan, is not a main thoroughfare, but it is used as a route for parade contingents to disperse to different assembly points. This is a suitable observation point for people who want to watch the final stages of the parades, especially the delegations representing local authorities, organizations, and businesses.
Nguyen Hue Walking Street
For those who appreciate open spaces, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street is the ideal place to watch the parade as it leaves the platform and heads towards the Me Linh roundabout. Especially during holidays, this area is often lavishly decorated, creating a space for locals and tourists to enjoy that is both historical and modern.

Things to note when attending the parade.
The event starts at 6:30 AM, so people should arrive 1-3 hours beforehand to secure a good viewing spot. To avoid overcrowding and congestion, people should prioritize walking or using public transportation instead of private vehicles.
Residents and tourists can watch the parade on 20 large screens installed along Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Loi, Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Dien Bien Phu, and Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets. If they cannot watch it live, people can still follow the ceremony on television and social media platforms.
