"Red Mount Fuji" - A symbol of hope.
Mount Fuji Red, also known as "Akai Fuji," is a rare and unique natural phenomenon in Japan. It's a perfect sight as the seasons change to autumn, revealed from behind a veil of mid-level clouds and fresh air, reflecting the vibrant red hues of sunset and sunrise onto the mountain's summit.

Mount Fuji, also known as Red Mount, has become a symbol of success and happiness in the hearts of the Japanese people. Specifically, in Japanese culture, the color red is often seen as a symbol of good fortune, health, and prosperity. The "Red Mount" phenomenon, which is extremely rare, seen only once or twice a year, is a blend of natural beauty – the transition from late summer to early autumn – harmonizing with the red light of sunrise or sunset on the mountain. The Japanese believe that the "Red Mount" phenomenon symbolizes success and happiness, prosperity, and the aspirations and hopes of humanity.
SBGH327 - Celebrating the Eternal Beauty of the East - Mount Fuji
Since Grand Seiko invited designer Akira Yoshida to Singapore to launch the Tentagraph, the brand has been hinting at an exclusive first edition for the Asia-Pacific market to mark a special milestone – the one-year anniversary of Grand Seiko Asia-Pacific. Keeping its promise, the Japanese watchmaker released the SBGH327 Aka Fuji/“Red Fuji” on November 1st.

Inspired by the "Red Mount Fuji" phenomenon, the SBGH327 expresses Grand Seiko's gratitude for Mother Nature's gift – the beauty of the changing seasons. The meticulously crafted dial features a pattern that reflects the unique contours of Mount Fuji in the enchanting setting captured on the watch.

Beyond its captivating beauty, the SBGH327 also represents Grand Seiko's philosophy of precision and innovation – “The Nature of Time”. The watch case undergoes the traditional Zaratsu polishing process, significantly improving its appearance.

Surprisingly, the SBGH327 is equipped with the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 9S85 movement, instead of the Spring Drive movement. The 9S85 was first introduced in 2009 and is assembled at the Shizukuishi watch factory. The movement is calibrated to an accuracy of +5/-3 seconds per day, using MEMS technology to precisely manufacture the escapement wheel and other components. Grand Seiko also uses two proprietary materials: SPRON 530 for the higher tension wire and SPRON 610 for enhanced shock and magnetic resistance.

Only 168 SBGH327 watches were produced worldwide and are sold exclusively at Grand Seiko Boutiques throughout Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
