Nguyen Tien Linh, a freelance photographer born and raised in Hanoi, was present at the event to capture those special moments. His photo collection is not only valuable documentation but also conveys a message of pride and love for the homeland. Linh shared: “On a chilly autumn morning in Hanoi, from early morning, crowds of people flocked to the area around Ho Guom Lake. Women in traditional ao dai dresses, children holding national flags, all were filled with excitement and anticipation.”

The event was lively, with thousands of people participating.
The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, with thousands of people participating. Tien Linh described it as follows: “The parade contingents lined up around Ho Guom Lake, with excitement mixed with anxiety before the momentous occasion. Especially memorable was the reenactment of the liberation army entering the capital, with Dr. Tran Duy Hung and General Vuong Thua Vu waving to the people. The soldiers marched amidst the joyful cheers of the people on both sides of the street. The red flag with a yellow star fluttered, fresh flowers bloomed, and smiles filled the air – only then did I truly understand what it meant to be ‘a sky full of flags and flowers.’ It was an incredibly moving moment, one that could make people cry and laugh at the same time. If this had happened 70 years ago, I can't imagine the joy and excitement of our ancestors!”

Their radiant eyes and bright smiles were filled with pride and profound gratitude for the glorious historical values, and love and faith in the people who have built and are building the nation."
Through his photo series, Nguyen Tien Linh hopes to convey a spirit of national pride to viewers. "I hope that when everyone looks back at these images, they will love their homeland and country even more. And especially, we will all look forward to the upcoming 80th anniversary of National Day, a momentous day for the entire nation."
