The QR code installation project at tourist attractions in Ba Dinh district started on October 8. Similar to previous QR code installation projects in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang or Tay Ho district, when visitors use the QR app to scan the code, an information link will be sent to their personal phones. Using QR scanning software will help reduce the number of tour guides needed at the relic sites.
The first day of implementing the QR code program at 5 tourist attractions in the district.
Project to attach QR codes to street name signs in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the first step in the process of building the “Electronic Tourist Handbook” of Ba Dinh district. Because after that, not only the relics but all the food, accommodation and travel services are encoded in the handbook, helping tourists easily look up information.
The trend of using QR codes for tourism is gradually becoming popular in many places around the world.
Ba Dinh has about 73 historical sites, and the above 5 tourist attractions have been assigned with a trial code. By the end of 2020, it is expected that two-thirds of the total tourist attractions in the district will be assigned a QR code. For localities that do not have their own tourism website, considering building such an "Electronic Tourism Handbook" is completely feasible.
