On May 6, Phu Quoc High-Speed Boat Joint Stock Company coordinated with 189 LLC under the General Department of Defense Industry to organize the launching ceremony of the super ship Thang Long to prepare for operation, serving passengers traveling and traveling on the Vung Tau - Con Dao route, expected in June 2022.
The Thang Long super high-speed passenger train uses the world's most modern Rolls-Royce MTU engine from Germany, fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly, the train reaches a maximum speed of 55.5 km/h. The train has 4 floors, 2 Eco cabins, 1 VIP cabin with a total capacity of 1,017 passengers. The top floor is used as a bar and cafe.

Thang Long ship is designed with a hull made of aluminum alloy imported from Italy, helping the yacht reach speeds of up to 30 nautical miles/h, with a total capacity of 11,580 horsepower, and withstand level 7 winds and waves. The ship is 77.46 m long with a special design at the bow that increases the ability to turn waves, increases stability and minimizes vertical roll.
The bow of the Thang Long ship is specially designed, like a dagger, to increase stability and minimize rolling when the ship is operating at sea.
The large size of the ship will minimize the rolling effect that smaller ships cannot have. The Thang Long ship is designed to serve the Vung Tau - Con Dao route, which is the route with the most severe and farthest journey from the mainland to the tourist islands of Vietnam.
Mr. Vu Van Khuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company, said that up to now, the ship system of Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company has reached 11 advanced and safest ships in Vietnam, which have been exploiting and operating routes from the shore to the country's pearl islands such as Phu Quoc Island, Con Dao Island, Nam Du Island and most recently the route from Da Nang to Ly Son Island.
