With the theme "Experience Every Moment," the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2022 is expected to create a new impetus for tourism nationwide after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic; and at the same time, open up opportunities for businesses to promote new programs and products, stimulating domestic tourism during the summer of 2022.
At a press conference on May 5th, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, stated: "During this year's Tourism Festival, we are also promoting regional linkages. We are organizing famtrip tours for businesses and tourism management agencies from participating provinces and cities to experience new tourism products of Ho Chi Minh City such as helicopter tours to view Ho Chi Minh City from above, cruise tours... These are products that we believe will make a significant contribution to the city's tourism in the future.”
The Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also emphasized that during the recent April 30th - May 1st holiday, Ho Chi Minh City recorded a significant increase in visitors compared to 2021, with an estimated 186,000 domestic tourists and 13,200 international tourists.

The event is expected to attract more than 100 participants, including over 50 provinces and cities nationwide, 38 tourism service businesses, 11 restaurants, and airlines (Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways).

The exhibition space at the Tourism Festival will be arranged into three areas: a tourism promotion area, an exhibition area showcasing tourist destinations and regional specialties of Vietnam, and a food area.
The highlight of the event was the tourism promotion space, introducing visitors to a diverse and rich range of new tourism products of the city, such as: tourism programs."Viewing the city from above","Cruising on the Saigon River"; tour programs by road, water, air...
The event also included seminars on "Regional Linkages in Training and Developing High-Quality Human Resources for Vietnam's Tourism Industry after the COVID-19 Pandemic," and "Vietnam Tourism - Opportunities and Challenges in Summer 2022"; meetings and exchanges with travel bloggers; introductions to tourism programs linking Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta; a competition to design souvenirs for Ho Chi Minh City tourism; a program introducing the intangible cultural heritage of Bài Chòi folk art, the play "City of Love," the final round of the Elegant Ao Dai contest, and opportunities to learn about and experience medical and therapeutic tourism products...
In addition to the city's already announced tour programs, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2022 will showcase, introduce, and promote tourism products and destination images associated with the city's cultural and historical values, agricultural ecology, and nature experiences.
