On May 7th, the Hai Phong Department of Tourism launched an online culinary map. A printed version will also be available for free distribution at Hai Phong train station in the near future. The map provides information on delicious dishes in Hai Phong, making it easier for tourists to choose restaurants and eateries.
The culinary map was published by the Hai Phong Department of Tourism.
To avoid overcrowding, each dish on the food map suggests multiple restaurants, catering to diverse tastes for tourists. The restaurants featured on the map are selected based on criteria such as delicious food, local recognition, and guaranteed food safety and hygiene.

According to Mr. Vu Huy Thuong, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Department of Tourism, the number of tourists visiting Hai Phong is on the rise. Since the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the city has welcomed approximately 30,000 tourists from Hanoi for "food tours".
"Food tours are a unique feature of Hai Phong tourism. During the four-day holiday from April 30th to May 1st, the number of visitors to Hai Phong to take food tours by train was approximately over 25,000. Of these, April 30th and May 1st were peak days with 6,000-7,000 visitors each day," Mr. Vu Huy Thuong informed.
From Hanoi, motorbikes are often a convenient option for young people on food tours in Hai Phong. However, trains and buses are also convenient for those who prefer a more leisurely and less dusty journey. Once in Hai Phong, you can rent a motorbike or take a taxi to get to street food centers such as Tran Nhat Duat Street (also known as Co Dao Market), Cat Bi Market, Doi Can Street (Luong Van Can Market), and Cot Den Market…

In the near future, the Hai Phong Department of Tourism will produce video clips showcasing authentic culinary and cultural experiences in Hai Phong. Simultaneously, Hai Phong will also produce detailed guides on historical sites, urban areas, architecture, and landscapes of the port city for young people to visit and take photos. Furthermore, the Department is coordinating with relevant agencies to develop an affordable electric tram service connecting the train station to restaurants.
