The People's Committee of Phu Quoc City announced that at approximately 2 PM on August 30th, Vietjet Air flight VJ3321, carrying nearly 300 Taiwanese tourists, landed at Phu Quoc International Airport to begin their holiday on the island. This group will stay for 5 days, coinciding with the National Day holiday on September 2nd, providing them with more options for tourism products on the island.
This group of nearly 300 Taiwanese tourists will have a 5-day vacation and sightseeing trip in Phu Quoc, experiencing tourist services such as An Thoi Island tours, riding the Hon Thom cable car, Phu Quoc Safari; and watching many unique and world-class music shows.
During the National Day holiday on September 2nd, Phu Quoc welcomed a large number of Taiwanese tourists.
Mr. Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman of Phu Quoc City, said that during the September 2nd holiday, Phu Quoc is receiving 20-25 international flights per day. This is the result of efforts to stimulate tourism in recent times. Mr. Khoa believes that some shows and events that have revived local culture in Phu Quoc City recently will leave a good impression on tourists.
Phu Quoc continues to cooperate with the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and businesses to offer various stimulus programs, incentives, and discounts to ensure that domestic and international tourists have a positive impression of the island's land and people.
The increasing number of tourists demonstrates Phu Quoc's enduring appeal to international visitors.
The Kien Giang Department of Tourism has requested Phu Quoc City to strengthen state management of tourism activities, especially in tourist areas, attractions, and entertainment venues. At the same time, it has called for strict rectification and handling of violations of tourism laws and other relevant regulations in the area, in order to ensure food safety and hygiene, security, and quality of services for tourists.
Tourism service businesses must proactively inspect and review the quality of facilities, equipment, and services provided to customers; publicly display service prices; implement appropriate policies to attract tourists; and maintain civilized behavior at tourist areas, attractions, and entertainment venues. In addition, they should maintain a hotline (0946.350.035) to support and resolve complaints from tourists in Phu Quoc City.
